Adele

Adkins was raised by a young single mother living in various working-class communities of London. She loved to sing modern pop songs as a child , and was capable of playing the clarinet and guitar. She discovered Etta the mid-century rhythm and blues singer, in her teens and began to think about a career as a musician. While she developed her talents at a secondary school funded by the government for the performing arts a friend started posting songs Adkins composed and recorded on the social networking site Myspace. Adkins was soon noticed by record labels and was signed a contract with XL Recordings in 2006.
