Also, she can be seen in Tyler Perry's hit movie, Why Did I Get Married? Alongside Perry as well as Janet Jackson, as well as in the forthcoming independent films Frozen Peas and Born Guilty. Some of her other credits in films includes The 636, for which she took home the award for her the title of Best Actress at the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival, Shattered!, Never Die Alone, and American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha after she graduated. Keesha began her career as a stage actress after completing her studies at Cum Laude Conservatory with an B.F.A. She played in The Broadway National Tour of Carousel and also debuted Off Broadway on stage in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. She also played 8 roles in the comedy Eat the Runt. Other stage performances include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Keesha is also the director of several scenes from "Lethal Weapon", Are We There Yet? and the three short films One Day, Lillian, and Half Off. Keesha has several projects that she is working on, for instance, Clean The Brit & Broken Doll. With the great success of her album "Santa Baby" Keesha is creating a full-length album to showcase her beautiful voice.
